Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) organised a multiple intelligence programme for Cheng Chek Chee Secondary School of Sai Kung and Hang Hau District, N.T., enabling the students to explore the skill trade of joinery. In the first lesson, the instructor introduced various types of wood, tools, mortise and tenon joint, the essential safety precautions in joinery, and demonstrated the use of laser level.

The students have actively engaged in discussions, eager to know more about joinery. In upcoming sessions, the instructor will teach the skills, such as boards joint and assembly, allowing students to create their own work and experience the joy of this traditional craftsmanship.
