Our programmes
Further studies & careers
Our training programmes combine conventional techniques with the latest technologies of the industry. We also offer diploma courses recognised under the Qualification Framework and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for Semi-skilled Workers and Skilled Workers, charting a clear career pathway for students.
In addition, HKIC offers lifetime job matching through a wide range of career counselling services for students and alumni. Students will be well prepared for entering the industry before graduation as they will take part in the following: the “Construction Supervisor and Technician Sponsorship Programme” sponsored by contractors, the Students Site Practices Scheme, the Build Your Life Mentorship Programme, employment workshops, career / company talks, employer / business association / alumni sharing sessions, site visits, job fairs and mock interviews, etc. After the students have been employed, we would conduct regular follow-up, provide counselling services and organise interaction opportunities in order to help the graduates adapt to working in the construction industry and build a social network within the industry.
Through continuing education and accumulating work experience, graduates can be employed by contractors to become project supervisors, project co-ordinators, site supervisors or assistant surveyors, etc.
HKIC has signed Memoranda of Intent with Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), Hong Kong Chu Hai College and the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) to pathways for them to articulate with degree courses.
HKIC provides graduates with career counselling and placement service for joining the construction industry.
