Special Arrangements on the Extension of Silver Card Validity Period
Affected by the pandemic, Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) suspended all face-to-face courses including silver card training courses in 2020.
After the resumption of face-to-face courses in September 2020, the number of classes for silver card training courses was immediately increased so that classes can be arranged for the enrolled persons as soon as possible. In view of the large number of applicants currently waiting for the silver card revalidation courses, special arrangements are put in place as follows:

Whose silver card was valid from 1 September 2020 to 31 March 2021. |
The silver card validity period will be further extended to 31 October 2021. |

The involved silver card holder can show this notice to relevant parties as a proof. |
* If the involved silver card holder completes the revalidation course within the validity period of the previous silver card, the new silver card will be extended for three years from the last day of validity period of the previous silver card. If the involved silver card holder fails to complete the revalidation course within the validity period of the previous silver card, the validity period of the new silver card will be extended for three years, from to the date of completion of the revalidation course. |

HKIC must emphasize that the above is a special arrangement during the pandemic. The HKIC will pay close attention to the development of the situation and make necessary arrangements.
