CERTIFICATE FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY SUPERVISORS
Total 5 Modules (Modules 1, 2 & 3 must be completed in order first)
M1: Construction Safety
M2: Safety Working System
M3: Safety Inspection
M4: Basic Occupational Health
M5: Basic Accidents Prevention
When the programme is successfully completed and obtained a certificate, the student will be able to:
Implement safety inspection according to construction industry related safety regulations and code of practice; and able to supervise construction workers to adopt relevant regulations and safety standards to facilitate worker safety in the workplace; Suggest safety measures and improvement actions that embrace compliance in response to potential risks in construction procedures; Plan and take relevant occupational health protection measures in relation to occupational safety and health and hazard control; Apply the knowledge of safety management to analyze common accidents in construction site and suggest proper preventive measures to ensure safety in work environment.
(ii) Possess a Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) qualification, or equivalent (Certified True Copy is required). Applicants aged 23 years or above and not meeting the minimum academic entry requirement may apply through the mature applicant route; and
(iii) Having the proof of 3 years’ relevant work experience (Employment Letter is required)
* Students who have obtained “Certificate in Site Safety Supervising Techniques” are eligible to apply for modules 4 and 5.
Conditions of Certificate Award
- Students who have obtained “Certificate in Site Safety Supervising Techniques” and have achieved 100% attendance rate and passed the examinations and assignments of module 4
and 5 within 2 years will acquire the “Certificate for Construction Safety Supervisors”.
