To enhance teaching staff’s ability to incorporate national education and innovative STEAM education into daily teaching activities, the Student Development Department invited the Patriotic Education Centre (PEC) of the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers to organise a training activity for 20 teaching staff on 18 August 2023.

The participants first attended a seminar on “Campus Carbon Neutrality and Innovative STEAM Education” delivered by Mr Andy Fung, a lecturer from the Hong Kong Institution of Education for Sustainable Development. In this seminar, campus carbon neutrality was used as an example to demonstrate how to incorporate innovative STEAM education into teaching and learning. Guided by the docents, the participants then visited four thematic exhibitions in PEC, including national education, national security, Chinese history, and Constitution education, to learn how to implement national education and foster students’ sense of national identity.
