To help students establish a professional personal image and prepare for their future career, HKIC hosted a Whole Person Development Talk titled " The Art of Grooming" at the Sheung Shui campus on 1 August. Ms Chan Ka Hei Kelly, a grooming professional, and Mr Ng Yui Por Teddy, a construction industry practitioner, were invited to share techniques for improving personal appearance.

During the talk, Ms Chan emphasised the importance of first impression and guided the students in enhancing their poise, eye contact, social etiquette, and dress to improve their temperament and confidence, allowing them to project a professional and confident image in the construction industry and break the negative stereotypes about construction workers.

As a construction industry practitioner, Mr Ng shared his experience in maintaining a clean and tidy appearance during his daily work, and encouraged the students to exercise more to build a healthy and positive image.
