4 competitors of WorldSkills Competition, including Fan WU (Painting and Decorating), Ivan CHAN (Plumbing and Heating), Stephen DAI (Wall and Floor Tiling) and Yin CHOW (Welding), travelled to Melbourne, Australia last week to participate in 2024 Global Skills Challenge. All matches were successfully completed. Our competitors had the opportunity to communicate with overseas representatives and experts to improve their technical skills.
Through the Challenge, they have benefited a great deal by learning the excellent skills from fellow competitors and reflected on their own performance. Difficulties in adapting to the competition venue, insufficient allocation of tools and different measurement standards led to their underperformance, but failure teaches success. In addition to hone their technical skills for perfection, they will also learn to respond and stay calm under various circumstances to achieve good results in WorldSkills Competition!
