Hong Kong Institute of Construction organised a Welding Experience Competition earlier to increase the understanding of WorldSkills Competition among young people, as well as showing welding is interesting. The participants first learned the welding skills from the instructor, followed by the practice and the experience competition. All the participants completed the test project within the time limit, showing their problem-solving skills and efforts.

Through the experience competition, the participants understood the weldments will be different under various temperature, speed, distance and strength. Some of the participants mentioned they would like to learn more welding skills in the future and take part in the WorldSkills Competition!
