Following the conclusion of WorldSkills Lyon 2024 in September, CIC competitors proudly received two Medallions for Excellence. Mr. John LEE, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, met with the Hong Kong Delegation of the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 at Central Government Offices on 12 November 2024, congratulating the competitors on their outstanding achievements and bringing honour to Hong Kong.
Mr. LEE mentioned in the reception that the competitors achieved the best-ever results in the WorldSkills Competition, demonstrating exceptional skills and talents in the competition. He appreciated the hard work of the Hong Kong Delegation, wishing everyone a bright future. The medallists shared their experiences and insights from the competition with Mr. LEE and other guests. Mr. FONG Chun-yin, the competitor in Joinery, emphasised the importance of accuracy in measurement for Joinery. Participating in intensive training and competitions allowed him to understand the standards of other competitors and improve his skills level and confidence.
