The Construction Industry Council (CIC) jointly organised the Hong Kong Junior Skills Competition 2024 with other institutions to introduce vocational skills to secondary school students and help them better prepare for their future career planning. The Prize Presentation Ceremony was held successfully on 23 November 2024 and the awards were presented to Champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up in Wall and Floor Tiling of Junior and Senior Groups.
Looking back at the entire training and competition, the champion of the Junior Secondary Group mentioned wall and floor tiling requires great attention to evenly apply the tile adhesive. He was glad that his hard work paid off. The champion of the Senior Secondary Group shared that he learned various techniques in wall and floor tiling, pointing out that cutting tiles requires appropriate strength to achieve a neat finish. We are pleased that the awardees expressed their interest in participating in similar activities in the future.
