In support of the first National Security Education Day in Hong Kong to promote national security education to students and cultivate their national identity, HKIC organised a variety of activities on 15 April (Thursday), including seminars, thematic book fair, and display of relevant information and brochures to help students understand the importance of national security to the country, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and even everyone in Hong Kong. They should perform civic duty to safeguard national security.

HKIC invited the Former Police Commissioner Mr. Dick LEE Ming-kwai, GBS to give talk to students, and share his views on the importance of discipline and obedience in our daily lives. Mr. Lee also gave another talk earlier on 7 April (Wednesday) sharing the same theme with HKIC staff, to raise their awareness of discipline and obedience.

HKIC also encourages students to browse the official website of the “National Security Education Day” to learn more.
