(2) Effective 1 September 2022, the newly launched courses will provide enhanced training allowances, with a maximum average monthly allowance of approximately HKD 12,910. This allowance comprises two components: i) a basic allowance and ii) a retention incentive allowance. The basic allowance is set at HKD 10,000 per month, with the actual disbursement determined by the student's attendance rate. The retention incentive allowance is calculated based on the total number of days in the course, amounting to HKD 9,400, which will be granted upon the student's successful completion of the course and fulfilment of specified employment criteria.
With effective from 1 May 2023 (counting course commencement date), the retention allowance will be distributed after the student has successfully completed the course, passed the Intermediate Trade Test (except for specific courses) and confirmed staying in the construction industry 3 months after graduation.
