CIC Fellows Sharing for HKIC Students on urban architecture was successfully held at Sheung Shui Campus on 17 April 2023. The Hong Kong Institute of Construction was delighted to have Mr Ivan FU, Chairperson of ZCB Management Board and Former Council Member, to share with teachers and students about his professional knowledge on architecture and to explore arts of urban city from an aesthetic point of views.

During the sharing session, Mr. FU, an experienced architect, shared his valuable insights on local architectural technology and arts with students. He introduced and elaborated the characteristics of local buildings in 3 dimensions: " structure”, "facade", and "connection”, and shared the importance of those elements in building design. From appreciation to implementation, Mr. Fu encouraged students to pay more attention to their surroundings in our daily lives, to cultivate the habit of observation and insight into the environment, and to think deeply to enhance their spirit of exploration and creative thinking ability. He also urged students to continue developing their professional skills and knowledge so as to make a positive contribution to the construction industry and the community.
